Move is all about helping you get out and about, enjoy the outdoors, improve your mental health and wellbeing, and make new friends. With activities and programmes across the County – from craft groups and gentle exercise classes to walking sports and outdoor walks – there’s something for everyone. All sessions are led by fully trained staff and volunteers, so you’ll be supported every step of the way. We want to make sure that everyone, no matter what their circumstances, can move more as part of their everyday life. We offer a range of regular activities and programmes for you to try, come along to a session and see what suits you.

Move Hub

Our Move Hubs offer you the chance to start a fitness journey in a gentle way. Whether you are recovering from injury, wish to get in shape, improve mobility, or improve strength we can help start you on a new path to improving your health and wellbeing. Each Move Hub is filled with specialist power assisted equipment. This gives a helping hand, enabling you to exercise in a low impact way but still gives you a full body workout. The Hub is also a social
space, so as you work through a gentle workout, you’ll also get to chat and make friends. Move Hubs are available in selected Leisure Centres.

Membership

Many of our sessions are free of charge, and others have a small fee. If you’d like to join a Move activity you will need a free Move membership. This will allow you to access any of our free activities such as walking, running, cycling or gardening. It will also allow you to pay as you go for Move community and leisure centre entry
level classes. For even better value for money the Move Plus membership gives you access to the Move Hub, Move community & leisure centre entry level classes, walking sports and swimming for a monthly fee. Move Plus members can also access all free sessions.
Both memberships are available online, or at your local leisure centre. See our memberships page.
