{"id":316,"date":"2023-05-26T10:13:54","date_gmt":"2023-05-26T10:13:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thriveleisure.co.uk\/?page_id=316"},"modified":"2024-11-27T13:42:57","modified_gmt":"2024-11-27T13:42:57","slug":"mywellness-thrive-active-virtual-mobile-app-accessibility-statement","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/staging.thriveleisure.co.uk\/index.php\/accessibility-statement\/mywellness-thrive-active-virtual-mobile-app-accessibility-statement\/","title":{"rendered":"MyWellness (thrive active virtual) mobile app accessibility statement"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"a-intro a-intro--default\">\n<p class=\"a-intro__content\">We want everyone who uses our mobile app to be able to access the full range of services available, regardless of their skill or technology.<\/p>\n<p>Durham County Council is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"a-body a-body--default\">\n<p>This accessibility statement applies to the MyWellness (thrive active virtual) mobile app\u00a0available on the Apple istore and Android Play Store.<\/p>\n<h2>Compliance statement<\/h2>\n<p>This app is partially compliant with the <a class=\"a_body__link\" title=\"Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/TR\/WCAG21\/\">Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1<\/a>\u00a0AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.<\/p>\n<h2>Non-accessible content<\/h2>\n<h3>Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations<\/h3>\n<p>The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>videos<\/strong>: videos do not have captioning or transcripts, failing success criterion 1.2.1<\/li>\n<li><strong>headings<\/strong>: these do not cascade, failing success criterion 1.3.1<\/li>\n<li><strong>headings<\/strong>: heading styles are not consistent, failing success criterion 1.3.1<\/li>\n<li><strong>background colours<\/strong>: some text \/ background colours do not have enough contrast, failing success criterion 1.4.3<\/li>\n<li><strong>links<\/strong>: elements that should be clickable are not, failing success criterion 2.4.4<\/li>\n<li>some text uses block capitals<\/li>\n<li>some areas of navigation are not intuitive<\/li>\n<li>some language not simple<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Disproportionate burden<\/h3>\n<p>The issues below are due to the 3rd party sections of the app.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>reflow<\/strong>: some content scrolls\u00a0in two\u00a0directions, failing success criterion 1.4.10<\/li>\n<li><strong>tabbing<\/strong>: the tab order does not follow a logical order, failing success criterion 2.4.3<\/li>\n<li><strong>links<\/strong>: link text makes no sense out of context, failing success criterion 2.4.4<\/li>\n<li>3D\u00a0text with a blurred style makes some text hard to read<\/li>\n<li>some videos play with no sound<\/li>\n<li>some icons with no description<\/li>\n<li>time selector element is not consistently implemented<\/li>\n<li>some areas of navigation are not intuitive<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Content that&#8217;s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>pre-recorded audio and video<\/strong>\u00a0published before 23 September 2020<\/li>\n<li><strong>live audio and video<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>maps<\/strong>\u00a0unless they provide core information<\/li>\n<li><strong>content that&#8217;s under someone else&#8217;s control that we have not paid for or developed ourselves<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li>social media buttons and\u00a0embedded Twitter feeds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Preparation of this statement<\/h2>\n<p>This statement was prepared on 16 June\u00a02021.<\/p>\n<p>We re-assess the code, design and content of a website, application\u00a0or system for accessibility whenever it undergoes a major modification.
